Delete your account
You can delete your Dial98 account and its data at any time, without asking anyone's permission and without explaining why. The fastest way is inside the app; if you no longer have the app installed, use the request form below.
Option 1 — delete it in the app (instant)
- Open the Dial98 app and sign in.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete my account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete account.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. There is nothing else to do.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, send us a request. Fill this in and it will open your email app with the message ready — nothing is submitted to us until you press send in your own mail app, and this page stores nothing.

We action deletion requests within 7 days and always within the 30 days required by Canadian privacy law. You will get an email confirming it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — email address, display name and password.
- Your caller ID number.
- Contacts you saved inside Dial98.
- Your call history: the numbers you dialled, and the times and durations of those calls.
- All call recordings held on our servers.
- Your SIP calling credentials.
- Server and security logs age out on their normal 90-day cycle.
What we have to keep
Financial records only. Canadian tax law requires a business to retain its books for six years after the relevant tax year. So the wallet ledger — how much credit was bought, how much was spent, and when — is kept for 7 years.
These rows are anonymised at deletion: your email, name and caller ID are stripped, and each dialled number is masked down to its country prefix. What remains is a row of dates and amounts that cannot be traced back to you.
If a payment dispute, chargeback or legal claim is open on the account, we may also keep the records needed to resolve it, and delete them once it is closed.
Things to know before you delete
- Any remaining credit is forfeited. If you want a refund of unused credit, ask for it before deleting — see section 8 of the Terms.
- Deletion cannot be undone. We cannot restore an account, its history or its recordings afterwards.
- You are free to sign up again later with the same email address; it will be a brand-new, empty account.
